Donna (Collins) Baumgartner, 85, passed away very peacefully at Allouez Parkside Village on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, after a long battle with Dementia. She was born December 12, 1932, in Green Bay, to the late Alvin “Cully” and Marie (Selissen) Collins.

Donna attended East High School in Green Bay and in April of 1951, she married James Baumgartner. After her divorce, Donna returned to school attending the old Vocational School (NWTC) where she was part of the 1959 class for licensed Practical Nursing. After her graduation, she started working at St. Vincent Hospital where she was employed for over 35 years. As part of Donna’s nursing career, she was an LPN in Green Bay’s first Intensive Care Unit. She retired in 1997 but continued to do “PRN” days until her 70th birthday.

Before her illness she enjoyed walking in her neighborhood, going out to eat, working in her yard, and was the queen of shopping for bargains. Donna loved to cook and could spend hours using the grill to make some great meals. Her beef stroganoff is a family favorite. She also enjoyed dancing and loved music, especially attending Broadway Shows at the Weidner Center.

Donna will be sadly missed by her daughter, Lynn (special friend Dan Jung) Baumgartner; son, Wayne (Sheri) Baumgartner; grandson, Kyle (Jess) and great-grandson son, Parker; her brothers and sisters -in-law, Dick and Sue Collins, Jim (special friend Sharon Moore) Collins, and Mary Collins. Donna is further survived by her Godchild, Cindy Collins and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her brother Tom Collins.

Visitation will be held at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Thursday, October 18, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Donna’s Life. Urn burial will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
