Richard "Dick" Jauquet

Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Oct 11, 1941

Died on Sep 29, 2018 and resided in Green Bay, Wisconsin

After a fun trip to Virginia with good friends, Richard “Dick” Jauquet, 76, suddenly left this world due to a heart attack in the early morning on Saturday, September 29, 2018.

He was born October 11, 1941, into a loving family, his parents, Walter and Stella (Jacques) Jauquet and the two best brothers in the world (His Words). On November 5, 1966, Dick married the love of his life Donna Arendt at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay. Dick was a kind and gentle man with a big heart. He had a big smile and a hearty laugh ready for anyone and any occasion. He was always ready to attempt new projects. Dick and his father-in-law built the house he and his family have been living in for 34 years. An avid sports fan he put his name on the Packers waiting list when he graduated High School and has been a proud season ticket holder since 1974. He and Donna attended the Ice Bowl with their son, Doug. However, Doug was just a fetus at the time, so he doesn’t remember much. Dick’s love of sports extended to high school games, especially when his boys or nieces and nephews were playing. He graduated from Premontre High School in 1959 and began working for Olson Transportation where he met his wife of 52 years, Donna Arendt. Later, he worked as a salesman in the food industry and retired from the West Corp. Appleton office in 2006.

In retirement, Dick and Donna traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe. Last year, they fulfilled a quest to visit the museum of every past U.S. President with their traveling companions and good friends, Mike and Vickey Freund. They enjoyed winter months in Florida, Arizona, and California. He loved the local Friday night dinners and day trips to various Wisconsin landmarks with Mary Ruebens and Bill Gould.

Dick will be sadly missed by his wife, Donna; sons, Doug (Erin) Jauquet, Green Bay, and Dale Jauquet of Madison; brothers, Jerry (Marilynn) Jauquet and Lee (Joyce) Jauquet; sisters-in-law, Linda (Wayne) Baudhuin, Mary Ruebens (Bill Gould) and Cyndi (Erik) Lucia; brother-in-law, Eric (Shelley) Arendt; beloved nieces and nephews, Jamie Jauquet, Tony (Gina) Jauquet, Goddaughter Brooke (Matt) Hollbrook and Godson John (Shirley) Jauquet, Marcia (Keith) Knoebel, Tom (Stephanie) Jauquet, Marilee (Chris) Jessup- Dick’s “Madison Angel” (Thanks for all the plums), Michelle (Michael) True, Nicole (Jon) Doden, Jason Baudhuin, Chad (Bliss) Baudhuin, Jacki Baudhuin, Justin (Nitra) Ruebens, Jessie (Paul) Solie, Adam Arendt and Cody Arendt.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Madeline Arendt and brother-in-law, Glenn Arendt.
