Died on Sep 25, 2018 and resided in Bellevue, Wisconsin

James Paul Verheyden was born to a wonderful woman, Edna (Prail) Verheyden, on October 29, 1966. He was the 6th child of the 8 children to be of the Verheyden family. Affectionately known as Jimmy, he was loved and admired by so many. His infectious personality, loving heart, and giving spirit, made it impossible not to love him. As an owner of Engebos Heating and Cooling, Jimmy was not only a successful business man, but an incredible mentor and friend. If you were his friend, you were his family. In his last days, he was surrounded by his close friends who were his brothers in life that brought out the smile that would light up your heart.

Above all else, was Jimmy’s love for his wife, Lori. It was his proudest accomplishment as he would so often say, “I got the best one!” Jim and Lori were married on November 16, 1996, it was the beginning of a loving marriage of 22 years. Lori, who Jimmy always referred to as “the wife,” was at his side in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health for all the days of their married life.

Jimmy is joining his brothers Michael and Todd who have gone before him on their next adventure in life. He is lovingly remembered by his family; Debbie and Artie, David and Denna, Paul, Larry and significant other Jody, and Brian. His wife Lori’s family, Donny (deceased) and Jean Minten, Dan and significant other Debi, Dale and Robbi, Lois (deceased), Kurt and significant other Amy, Kristine, Tammy and Lane, Tricia and Bob, and all of the many nieces and nephews.

To Jimmy’s extended family the Herman’s; especially Gary who was like a father to Jimmy throughout his life, you will always be with him. To Jimmy’s two special God children, Taylor Herman and Michael Verheyden, you will always be in his heart.

To Tim Menger, Jim’s friend and business partner, thank you for all your loving support.

A special thank you to the Bone Marrow transplant team at Froedtert, to the Green Bay oncology group, especially Dr. Ryan and Dr. Warren, and to the nurses on the 9th floor and in the 6 ICU at St. Vincent’s Hospital, you are all truly angels.

Thank you all for your loving care and support during this difficult time for it is the love of family and friends that helps us make it through.
