Green Bay - Paul Richtig, 63, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 with his family at his side. He was born in Kingsford MI. to the late William and Shirley Richtig.

Paul was a wonderful father, who always made time for his kids. His passion and trade was as an auto body mechanic. His hobbies were woodworking, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Paul and Calvin’s passion for riding their Harley’s together ended with a tragic accident in 2006, when Paul became paralyzed. He spent the next 12 years living independently, thanks to so many people. His courage, strength, determination, positive attitude and sense of humor was an inspiration to all that knew him. His passion and pass-time was his art. He always kept others guessing with his sense of humor.

Paul will be greatly missed by Jenna (Chris) Bringe, his beloved daughter and caregiver who brought him love, joy and strength every day; son Calvin Richtig; grandson Berkley Richtig, who could make a good day great and a bad day good with his love for his papa; former wife, caregiver, and dear friend Debby Richtig; Mother and Father-in-law Jim and Nyna Hendricks, who loved him like a son; sister and brother in-laws Sandy Carey, Patty (Tim) Hammill, Mike (Laurie) Hendricks, John Hendricks (Gulnara), Suzy Richtig (Mark); sister Diane (George)Wells; numerous nieces and nephews who all adored him; neighbor and dearest friends, Bill and Jane McCosky, whose generosity and loving kindness made independent living possible; and his devoted caregiver, and good friend June Wommack.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers William and Michael; sister and brother-in-laws David Carey, Beth Ann Hendricks and Peggy Hendricks.

Special thanks to the caring and compassionate people at Comfort Keepers, and Shirley and staff at St. Vincent Home Health.
