Patricia A. “Pat” Nitka, 70, died Thursday, July 19, 2018 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.  She was born June 6, 1948, in Green Bay, to James S. and Bernice A. (Ourada) Vandermuss. 

Pat was a graduate of Preble High School, Class of 1966.  She worked for the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce for many years.  On August 16, 2008, she married James J. “Jim” Nitka at Homestead Meadows Farm in Appleton.  Pat’s family was very important to her.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, baking for them, making Halloween costumes for them, and never missed one of their events.  Pat loved to decorate for the holidays, especially Christmas.  She enjoyed spending time at the family cabin, going by the lake, and having campfires.  She took annual trips to Michigan to buy tulips, and to Mackinaw Island with Jim to see the sunrise.  Some of her favorite things were photography, gardening, shopping, yard work, and cooking.

Pat is survived by her husband, Jim; her children, Kevin (Julie) Srenaski, Chad Srenaski, Jennifer Srenaski, Michael (Stephanie) Nitka, David (Stacey) Nitka; her grandchildren, Alexis, Jaymee, Kyler, McKenna, Emily, Zoe, Ethan, Coli Mae; her brother, Tom (Barb) Vandermuss; special friends, Robert (Donna) Srenaski, Bob (Mary) Young; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two infant grandchildren, Wade Jr, and Jenifer.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, on Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The Funeral Service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home, with Sr. Helen Keyzer officiating.  Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery on Saturday, August 4th, at 11:00 a.m.  On-line condolences may be made to the Nitka family by going to www.prokowall.com
