Richard A. Greening, Sr, 71, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones. Dick was born in Green Bay on January 15, 1947, to the late Gerhardt and Germaine (Gonnering) Greening. He graduated from Green Bay Preble High School in 1965 and then entered the U.S. Army Reserves. Dick married the love of his life Phyllis F. DeGrave at Saint Peter Catholic Church in Lincoln on October 21, 1967, she preceded him in death on January 7, 2001. Dick retired from Konop Vending after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, and Friday night fish fry’s. Dick had a vast knowledge of classic cars and enjoyed sharing stories of his life. He enjoyed personally calling his fellow retirees once a month for lunch. Dick had always felt blessed for having such wonderful family and friends. Dick’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of his eye.

Richard is survived by his children, Lisa (Steven) Schwalenberg, Dacula, GA; granddaughter, Julia (Jeremy) Langer, Oneida; great-grandchildren, Parker and McKenna Langer; granddaughter, Laura Kultgen, Chicago, IL; son, Richard A. Greening, Jr., Green Bay; son, Todd (Gena) Greening, Green Bay; grandchildren, Taylor and Brady Greening; sister, Mary (Dennis) Hansen, Green Bay; sisters-in-law, Deborah Greening and Therese Greening; brothers and sisters-in-law, Shirley Orde, Jean Ann (Roger) Kuehl, Susan (Norman) Paplham, Florence Kaus, all of Kewaunee, Jean DeGrave, Henry (Wendy) DeGrave, Jr., both of Georgia, and Gary (Diane) DeGrave, Casco; along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell and Kenneth Greening; sister, Patricia (Jim) McConnell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim Orde, Myrell DeGrave, Calvin DeGrave, LaVern (Bernard) Kinnard, and Donna (Norbert) Fonferek.

Friends may gather at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, on Monday, May 14, 2018, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Parish Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Drive, from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Mark VanderSteeg will preside. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established in Dick’s name.
