Robert Linck

Born in Green Bay, WI on Apr 01, 1926

Died on Jan 20, 2018 and resided in Green Bay, WI

Robert Clarence “Pere-Pere” Linck, 91, of Green Bay passed away peacefully in his home Saturday, January 20, 2018.  He was born April 1, 1926, in Green Bay to Clarence C. and Stella (DeMars) Linck.

Bob was a graduate of Green Bay East High School, Class of 1944.  He served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy on June 14, 1944.  Bob served in the South Pacific, and while there, his duties included piloting the LCVP used for personnel transport from ship to shore.  He was so proud to wear is World War II hats and would often stop to talk to other veterans whenever he would go “out and about”.  Bob was honored to go on the Old Glory Flight in 2010.

On May 26, 1951, Bob married the love of his life, Martha Ann Fugate.  They were married for 66 years. Their story is the greatest love story, often saying that their honeymoon never ended.

Bob graduated from St. Norbert College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 1951.  He served his community as superintendent of the Allouez Water Department for most of his career.

Early in life, Bob spent time discovering Native American artifacts locally in Wisconsin, some of which he donated to the Neville Public Museum.  He felt a kinship to the Native Americans, to their culture, beliefs, and their philosophies.  Later in life, he loved to take care of all the animals around him.  (Don’t worry Dad, we will continue to feed the birds and the fat squirrels).  The most important thing in Bob’s life was spending time with family and friends.

Bob is survived by his wife, Martha; his children, Carol (Bill) Winsand, Bonduel, Sue (Todd) O’Connell, Robert (Sue) Linck, Jr., Jesse (Andrea) Linck, all of Green Bay; his 12 grandchildren, Erik (Cara) Winsand, Krista Winsand (special friend Dominek), Alyssa (Luke) Miller, Kathy O’Connell (fiancé Nick DeYoung), Corey O’Connell (fiancé Jason Knight), Kelly O’Connell (special friend Adam Schadt), Chase and Paige Linck, Zach, James, Logan, and Christian Linck; his 6 great-grandchildren, Presley, Patience, Harper, Jordyn, Piper, and Payton; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Carol Linck.
