Arvilla O. Blohowiak, 94, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 6, 2018. She was born in Tomahawk on June 8, 1923, to the late Mathew and Mabel (Castagner) Saindon. Arvilla attended grade school and all but her senior year of high school in New London, WI.  The family then moved to Green Bay where she graduated from East High School in Green Bay, WI. After High School, Arvilla attended the school of Cosmetology in Green Bay and in 1942 after graduating, practiced her trade in Green Bay and Miami, Florida. Arvilla moved back to Green Bay after the war and married Al Blohowiak on April 24, 1946. Al and Arvilla then built their home in Green Bay on Manitowoc Road in 1948 and raised 4 children:  Dan Blohowiak, Granbury, TX, Mary Ellen Blohowiak, Allen, TX, Dave (Cheryl) Blohowiak, Suamico WI, Don Blohowiak (Julie) Green Bay, WI. Arvilla was a member of St Philips Church for over 60 years, the altar society and the Catholic Order of Foresters 1102. After her husband Al Passed, Arvilla moved to Bellevue Retirement Community where she enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, canasta and the many outings with the members of the community. In 2015 Arvilla moved to Emerald Bay Retirement Community in Hobart to be closer to her son David and made many new friends.

Arvilla is further survived by her grandchlidren: Jeremy (Norma) Blohowiak, great-grandchildren Aleck and Macie, Granbury, TX.  Nick (Sara) Blohowiak and great-granddaughter Sophia, Suamico, WI; granddaughter, Jill (Cliff) Blohowiak, De Pere, WI, and granddaughter Kaylyn Roggenbuck, Allen, TX; step-grandson Jeff (Andrea) Zuelsdorf and great-grandson Zachary, Belton, TX; step-grandson Andrew (Margot) Noah, great-grandsons David and Nickolas, Lafayette, LA; one sister, Audrey Fleming (Arizona); Godchildren, Stephen Saindon (Appleton, WI) and Cindy Augustson (Gilbert, AZ); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mathew and Mabel (Castagner) Saindon, husband Aloysius; son Donald; granddaughter Tanya Roggenbuck; godchild, Terry Blohowiak; three brothers and sister-in-laws Owen and Verna, Noel, Loren “Bud” and Loraine; two sisters and Brother-in-laws Elaine and Victor (Samas) and Orcella and Joe (Staidl); sister-in-law and brothers-in-law: Ed and Betty Blohowiak, Anton and Jean Blohowiak, Leonard and Betty (Blohowiak) Benz, Carmon and Justine (Blohowiak) Georgia, Andrew and Eleanora Blohowiak, Frank Blohowiak, Marie Blohowiak, Ruth Blohowiak, Larry Fleming and Stella (John) Naniot.

Friends may gather at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Parish Wake Service will be at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday morning at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St, from 9:30 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Rev. William Hoffman will preside. Entombment to be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.prokowall.com.
