Jordan Olson

Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Nov 01, 1986

Died on Dec 30, 2017 and resided in Bellevue, Wisconsin

Jordan “JO” Olson, 31, Bellevue resident, died Saturday, December 30, 2017, at home, surrounded by his family, following a courageous two year battle with Melanoma cancer. He was born November 1, 1986, in Green Bay to Roxanne (Woitula) Olson and Tony Olson. Jordan attended St. Philip the Apostle grade school and and graduated from Green Bay East High School in 2005. He was currently employed by Wisconsin Building Supply.

Jordan’s passion was fishing, not just fishing, but chasing Walleye’s and the mighty Esox. He was an active member of Muskies, Inc, Titletown Chapter in Green Bay and was always looking forward to the next tournament. He enjoyed the outdoors, campfires, cookouts and the regular fish frys where he was the cook. Jordan was the “go to” friend when someone was in need of a helping hand. He was always ready, willing and able and just couldn’t say no. As his Melanoma advanced, so did his fighting spirit. Jordan’s ability to overcome the negatives and focus on the positives gave inspiration that became contagious to others battling similar health issues.

Jordan is survived by his mother, Roxanne Olson, Bellevue; his father, Tony Olson, Crivitz; two brothers, Dexter and AJ Olson, Bellevue; paternal grandmother, Donna Buczek, Bellevue; paternal grandfather, David (Diane) Olson, Cecil; aunts, uncles, cousins and too many friends to name.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dick and Jeanne (Golonka) Woitula; paternal grandfather, Jim Buczek and his aunt, Bobbi Jo Karczewski.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. from 4:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 3. Parish wake service 7:30 pm Wednesday. Jordan’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the people in Jordan’s life the last two years. First of all, to all of his girl friends at Green Bay Oncology, Dr. Brian Brunette and the ever-so-sweet Nicole Spaeth, his boss and co-workers at Wisconsin Building Supply who allowed Jordan the opportunity to continue working through his illness and lastly to the many people involved with the benefit this past October to raise money for his medical expenses. Whether you fished in the tournament, donated a prize, or just came to share a story. Your willingness to help and the compassion and care for Jordan and his family will never be forgotten. Thank you also to Unity Hospice, for helping Jordan to remain at home in his last days.
