Ruth Schuster, 98, Green Bay resident, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017, at a local care facility. She was born September 25, 1919, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to the late Louis and Rose (Fiegelman) Petasnick. Ruth married Martin Schuster and he passed away in 1987. Ruth will now join her husband and their only child, Leslie, who passed on at the age of 13.

 Ruth was active with the Hadassah B’na Brith Women and the Cnesses Israel Sisterhood in Green Bay. She gave of her time and talents volunteering at various organizations in Green Bay.

 She is survived by four nieces: Bonny Greer, Long Beach, NY; Sharon Evans, San Diego, CA; Eleanor Epstein, Arizona and Meredith Schmechel, Green Bay; she is further survived by many great nieces and nephews.

 Ruth was preceded in death by three sisters: her twin, Jean Spivack, Frances Peters and Bess Dubin; two brothers, Morris and Jacob Petasnick and a niece, Elayne Wiener.

 Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., after 12:00 noon TODAY, Wednesday, November 29, until time of service at 1:00 pm. Funeral service at 1:00 pm with Rabbi Moishe Steigmann officiating. Immediately following the funeral service, the procession will leave for Fort Howard Memorial Park Cnesses Israel for the graveside service to be held at 2:15 pm.
