Jon P. Wistenberg, 51, Green Bay resident, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017, at a local hospital following a brief illness. He was born April 27, 1966, in Green Bay, to Phil and Pat (Tollefson) Wistenberg. Jon was baptized and confirmed at Atonement Lutheran Church and attended Green Bay Preble High School graduating in 1984. Following high school, he attended UW Milwaukee and UW Green Bay. Jon was employed by Schreiber Foods for over 20 years until his health wouldn’t allow. Jon enjoyed sports and going up north with family and friends. He liked to read and prayed for snow every year as he enjoyed snowmobiling.

 He is survived by his parents, Phil and Pat Wistenberg, Green Bay; three siblings: Vicky (Tom) Holschuh; Jay (Ginger) Wistenberg and Amy (Bill) Harris, all of Green Bay; nieces and nephews: Emilee (A.J.) Blum; Spencer Holschuh and his fiancée Alyssa; Alexa, Mason and Cole Wistenberg; Hunter and Tess Harris; one great nephew, Grant Blum.

 He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents as well as numerous aunts and uncles.

 Friends may call at Atonement Lutheran Church, 2132 Deckner Ave., after 4:00 pm Thursday, October 5, until time of service. Funeral Service 7:00 pm Thursday at the church with Rev. David Raben officiating. Entombment at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. In lieu of floral expressions a memorial fund has been established in Jon’s name.  Jon’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Aurora Baycare Hospital as well as the Aurora Hospice Organization.
