Elaine M. Osmanski, 88, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Monday, September 25, 2017, with family at her side gracefully completing her courageous journey through Alzheimer’s.  She was born December 23, 1928, in Green Bay, to the late, Stanley and Winifred (Walker) Charneski. She attended Cathedral Grade School and graduated from Green Bay East High School, class of 1946. While going to school and growing up, Elaine worked for the family grocery store, Charneski Grocery. She was also a bookkeeper for Gabe’s T.V. and Appliance. On January 4, 1958, Elaine married Frank Osmanski at St. Willebrord Catholic Church in Green Bay. She and Frank enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time at the family cottage on the bay. Elaine was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Lady Elks Auxiliary. She was actively involved with the Antiques Study Club and her special “Club” friends.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Frank Osmanski; her sister’s children, Patti Golueke, Karen (Jim) Seaman, Ann (Tom) Hermsen, Mary Golueke, Ellen (Kurt) Wilkinson, and Paul (Becky) Golueke and their families; she is further survived by Frank’s nieces and nephews along with several cousins; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Stadler and Millie Meger.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving sister, Carol (James) Golueke; Frank’s parents, Frank and Bernadine Osmanski; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marion (Al) Krzewina, Mike Meger, Richard Osmanski, Jimmy (Shirley) Osmanski and Theresa (William) Pucel.

Visitation will be held at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 645 S. Irwin Ave., on Friday, September 29, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Reverend Anthony Cirignani OFM officiating. Burial will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. A memorial is being established. Frank and the family extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff and nurses at Woodside Lutheran Home for the care given to Elaine and her family over the past six years along with a special thank you to Mulberry Meadows and Dr. Fred Walbrun.
