Thomas O. Collins, 79, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Friday, September 1, 2017, with family by his side. He was born March 20, 1938, in Green Bay, the son of the late Alvin and Marie (Selissen) Collins. Tom graduated from Green Bay East High School and later proudly served his country in the United States Military, Army. On July 19, 1969, Tom married Mary Jane Hansen at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Green Bay. Tom worked for the State of Wisconsin retiring in 1994, as a Probation and Parole Officer. Tom truly loved to cook and working in his garden. He had a passion for roses and their beauty. Tom loved his family and absolutely adored his grandchildren and great granddaughter.  

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary Jane Collins; children, Cindy Collins, Brenda (Paul) Hudson, Randy (Tina) Collins; grandchildren, Kayla (Steve) Annen, Tyler Collins, Skyler Hudson, Lauren and Landon Collins; great granddaughter, Addalyn Annen and one more great grandchild on the way; siblings, Donna Baumgartner, Richard (Sue) Collins, James (significant other Sharon) Collins; godson, Robb Collins and special nephew, Wayne (Sheri) Baumgartner along with niece, Lynn Baumgartner; special aunt, Alice Beauchaine.  Tom is further survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Mamie Hansen; and one brother-in-law, Richard Hansen.   

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church 2770 S. Oneida St., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Reverend Michael Ingold officiating. Burial will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial has been established. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

The family extends their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Robert Stevens, his nurse Shelly, Dr. Dhimant Patel, Dr. Jaya Phookan, and the staff at Aurora Bay Care for the care given to Tom. The family also thanks the family and friends for their visits and support during his illness. A special thank you to Jody, Kylee, Jon, and Noah for their support and kindness.
