Milton “Jim” Grasse, 73, Bellevue resident, died early Wednesday morning, August 2, 2017, at a local hospital following complications related to cancer. He was born August 25, 1943, in Port Washington, WI to the late Milton L. and Louise (Belmore) Grasse. Jim attended Green Bay East High School graduating in 1961. Following high school Jim worked for a brief period of time for Schreiber Foods and then his dad, Milton, who founded Grasse Siding and Roofing in 1940. In 1970, Jim started Jim Grasse Siding Company, which he ran until his retirement. Jim was a long-time member of the Green Bay Builders Association. He loved being by or on the water. Jim enjoyed his cottage on the Suamico River and later his cottage by White Potato Lake. If you knew Jim, you’ve heard many fishing stories, especially about the outings on the Bay with his dad and son. You would also know his perfect day was cruising the country in his Corvette and sitting by a bonfire with family and friends. He enjoyed car shows and church picnics and always had a great time at the Packer games. He never missed an opportunity to play cards and looked forward to his travels with Mindy to Jamaica and Mexico in the winter.

Jim is survived by his life companion, Melinda “Mindy” Kaye; his son Michael J. Grasse and daughters, Teri L. Grasse and Kristy Kaye, both of Green Bay; two grandchildren, Lindsey R. Grasse and Jacquelyn G Kaye and her fiancée, Nicholas Furcho; great grandson, Leeland Kaye; his sister, Sandra (Grasse) Ippolite, Sarasota, FL; brother-in-law, Edwin (Sherri) Cavil, Green Bay; Mindy’s siblings, Marlene (William) Schmeda and Marvin (Vickie) Mainville, all of Green Bay; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant son; two sisters, Bertha (Grasse) Cavil and Nancy Grasse and one brother, Gary Grasse.
