Carolyn E. Karchinski, 76, Green Bay, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017, at Woodside Lutheran Home. She was born December 22, 1940, at home in Luxemburg, daughter to the late Hubert and Evelyn (Kalcik) Graunke.

Carolyn married Robert Karchinski on June 11, 1960, at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2011.

She actively worked outside the home throughout her life, retiring from St. Vincent Hospital, continuing there as a volunteer. Carolyn was an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Community.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing cards, babysitting for her only granddaughter, cooking, baking, and canning pickles, apples, and tomatoes. Carolyn also liked to read the newspaper every day.

She is survived by her four children: Robin Karchinski, Green Bay; Jon (Casey), Fond Du Lac; Brad (Julie) and Todd (Lori), all of Green Bay; one granddaughter, Brittany Karchinski; one step-granddaughter, Jamie Martens; five step-great grandchildren; four brothers: Dennis (Kathy) Graunke, John Graunke, Doug Graunke; five sisters: Linda (Jerry) Kollross, Faye Kenney, Shirley (Eddie) Sinicki, Cindy (Dave) Hardtke, and Bev (Tim) DeJardin; two brothers-in-law, David (Glenda), Green Bay, and Michael “Mick” (Arlene), Pulaski; sister-in-law, Bev Graunke; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Neal.

Family and friends may visit Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Green Bay, on Sunday, July 16, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., where there will be a Parish Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 3425 Willow Road, Green Bay, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11 a.m., with Fr.
