Patti Thompson

Born in Green Bay, WI on Jan 02, 1963

Died on Jun 14, 2017 and resided in Bellevue, WI

On June 14, 2017, Patti K. Thompson, 54, took the hand of her Saviour and joined her parents and sister in Heaven.  She was born January 2, 1963 to Charles “Chuck” and Edna (Tomcheck) Gallagher.  Patti was a lifelong member of Ascension Lutheran Church, where she was baptized, confirmed and married.  She graduated from Preble High School in 1981.  Patti enjoyed a 26-year career with Bellin Sports Medicine where she greeted patients daily with her contagious smile and sparkling bright blue eyes, instantly putting them at ease.

On May 12, 1984, Patti married her high school sweetheart, Jim Thompson, beginning a 33-year marriage blessed with two children and a precious granddaughter.  She was a dedicated and selfless wife, mother and grandmother whose life was summed up in the love for her family and her many friends.  Patti made her house a home; cooking for her family, tending her flower gardens, feeding the birds, and taking her dog for a walk in the neighborhood. Often with the help from her granddaughter.

Patti was a devoted Packer fan, attending many games.  She also found joy in the warmth of the sun, whether boating on the Bay, hanging out at the Yacht Club or driving her jeep with the top down listening to Jimmy Buffet tunes.  Patti was young at heart.  Her inspirational posts will be missed on Facebook, but her positive spirit will live on in all she touched.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Thompson; two children, Ashley Thompson and her fiancé, Derek Wiener; their daughter, Emma; Aaron Thompson and his special friend, Pa Yia Xiong; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Judy Thompson; two brothers and their spouses, Gary and Belinda Gallagher, Rick and Sandy Gallagher; a sister-in-law, Tammy (Drew) Runde; three brothers-in-law, Todd (Tina) Thompson, Jay (Marcia) Thompson, Jeff (Karen) Thompson; nieces and nephews; and her boxer, Allie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chuck and Edna Gallagher and her sister, Cathy Niespodzany.

Visitation was held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2017, at Proko-Wall Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2911 Libal St. after 9:00 am until time of service.
