Richard “Dick” W. VanDenBusch, 80, Green Bay, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. He was born in Green Bay on June 24, 1936, to the late Theodore and Bernadine (Daul) VanDenBusch. Dick graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1955, and on June 22, 1957, he married Janice Gagnon at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He worked at the Fort Howard Paper Mill as a Pulp Processor for 40 years until his retirement. Dick was the president of the local parents group for children with Spina Bifida, the first of its kind in Green Bay. The organization raised money for its members to attend camps. He was also a member of the local Blue Army group.

Dick is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janice VanDenBusch; eight children, Debra Cormier, Joseph (Sylvia) VanDenBusch, Theresa (David) Maes, Kevin (Teresa) VanDenBusch, Julie (Timothy) Tease, Dan (Laura) VanDenBusch, Steven VanDenBusch, and Sara (Corey) Meyer; 17 grandchildren, Crystal, Angela, Ted, Matthew, Tina, Lynn, Michael, Kayla, Jessica, Jennifer, Kevin, Stephanie, Nicole, Jenny, Matt, Holly, and Sara; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way. Dick is further survived by his brother, Francis (Betty) VanDenBusch; brother-in-law, Terry (Mary) Gagnon, and Don McClure; two sisters-in-law, Sharon (Dave) Tassoul, and Diane (John) Nyes.

He was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Clifford and Gladys Gagnon; son-in-law, Jeffrey Cormier; sisters-in-law, Sandy (Jerry) Compton, Bonnie (Glenn) Perrault, and Linda McClure.

Friends may gather at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St, on Friday, May 26, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 645 S. Irwin Ave, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, OFM, will preside. Entombment will be in the Allouez Chapel Mausolseum.
