Claude A. DeNamur, 74, a longtime resident of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 11, 2017.  He was born September 12, 1942, in Brussels to Clarence and Lillian (Derenne) DeNamur.  Claude graduated from Brussels High School in 1960 and attended UW-Oshkosh.  On October 19, 1963, he married Mary Ann Naze at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Maplewood and the couple made their home in Green Bay.  They were blessed with 3 sons.  Always a sports fan, Claude enjoyed coaching his boys, watching his grandchildren in their activities, and golfing. 

Claude worked as a welder and later, as an estimator for Badger Sheet Metal, retiring after a 49 year career.  He and Mary Ann enjoyed travelling, going to musical theater, stopping for a Pepsi at Simonet’s, listening to all kinds of music, working in his yard, but most of all, just spending time with his family.  He will be remembered as always putting others first.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Chris, Grand Rapids, MI; Darin and Kelly, Asheboro, NC; Chad and Kate, Suamico; his beloved grandchildren, Nicolette, Savannah, Jackson, Max, Matthew, and Jaydon;  seven siblings and their spouses, Patricia Ullman, Clarice and Mike Wery, Chris and Colleen DeNamur, Karen and Bob Rosinsky, Lindy and Sharon DeNamur, Galen DeNamur and Sue, Verona and Rod Robillard; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bertha Naze, Judy Guilette, Sharon and Scott Pinchart; nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marcella and Eugene Naze; brothers-in-law, Ken Ruben, Bob Ullman, Stan Naze, Jim Naze and Ken Guilette.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St.  A Parish Wake Service will conclude the visitation at 7:00 p.m. Monday.  Visitation will continue from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 Tuesday at the church with Rev. William Hoffman officiating.  Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.  To send online condolences visit www.prokowall.com.
