John L. Mencheski Jr. “Cadillac Jack”, 64, Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. He was born on April 22, 1952, in Green Bay to the late John Sr. and Martha (VandenBergh) Mencheski. John was a graduate of Denmark High School. He served in the U.S. Army. John retired from Fort Howard Paper Company after approximately 35 years of employment. One of John’s greatest joys in life was being there for Madisyn.
John will be deeply missed by his two loves, Jeanne Smith and Madisyn; siblings, Dave (Barb) Mencheski, Mary (Sy) Barrett, Theresa Douglas, Anthony (Marge) Mencheski, Rudy Mencheski, Raymond Mencheski, Darlene (Steve) Zeitler, Maria (Doug) Arnold; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his goddaughter, Terrilynn Rasku.
Visitation will be at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday at the Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at Proko-Wall Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Philip Catholic Chruch, 312 Victoria St., at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, with Rev. William Hoffman officiating.
John’s family would like to thank the staffs of St. Vincent Hospital 5th Floor ICU and Unity Hospice for the extraordinary care and support they provided.
