Matthew Loppnow, 28, Greenleaf, passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2017. He was born June 27, 1988, in Green Bay, son to James and Beth (Swoboda) Loppnow. He grew up on a small farm in the country and he loved it.

Matt graduated from NEW Lutheran High School and from NWTC with an Associate Degree in Criminal Law Enforcement. Just recently, Matt was looking forward to starting his new job working for the Green Bay Correctional Facility.

He loved sports, hunting (especially with his dad), playing Sheepshead with his grandparents, cooking and grilling out, working on cars, and could put a smile on anyone’s face. Matt’s favorite trip was going to Canada fishing with his dad.

Matt loved praying with his parents and had a special bond with his sister, Melissa, and his nephew, Logan.

He will be deeply missed by his parents, Jim and Beth; twin sister, Melissa; nephew, Logan; other siblings: Rick, Nicole, Rose and David; paternal grandparents, Marvin and Eunice Loppnow; maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Swoboda; will be also missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandpa, Robert Swoboda; his uncle, Richard Loppnow; and his aunt Nancy Swoboda.

Family and friends may visit Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Green Bay, on Friday, April 7, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at Christ the Rock Community Church, 556 Main Ave., De Pere, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Matt Kadlec officiating.
