Mary (Zebuhr) Oettinger

Born in Allouez, Wisconsin on Mar 16, 1947

Died on Mar 10, 2017 and resided in Allouez, Wisconsin

Mary Alice (Zebuhr) Oettinger, 69, Allouez, was taken into the arms of the Lord on Friday, March 10, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was born March 16, 1947 in Allouez, WI, daughter to the Late Ernest and Agnes (Leanna) Zebuhr. Mary was a graduate of East DePere High School in 1965, where she was a straight A student and an award winning speed typist. On July 22, 1967 she married her childhood sweetheart Robert Oettinger at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Allouez.

In her later years, Mary enjoyed using the computer where she communicated with her siblings and enjoyed YouTube, immensely.  Among Mary's many hobbies were drawing, collecting figurines, nature, flora and fauna. Mary also enjoyed playing the piano/keyboard and was an avid reader.

Mary was a devout Catholic, never far from her bible and often in prayer.

Mary loved spending time with her husband, Robert. Among their activities they enjoyed dining out together and with family, rummage sales, movies and simply being together. Their love was inseparable. Mary was a kind and gentle soul who would do anything for anyone in need. She never had a negative word to speak about anyone. Her selflessness and generosity was amazing. No one she touched ever had a negative thing to say about her. She quietly inspired and encouraged all those around her to be better people.

Mary taught her children compassion, forgiveness, positivity in the face of adversity and instilled strong ethics and moral character. Holidays were embraced and celebrated whole heartedly. Her gentle, warm spirit will never be forgotten and will be dearly missed. Mary was an angel on earth filled with God's beauty, inside and out.

Mary will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Robert; son, Robert Oettinger II; two daughters, Leslie (Christopher) Moyer, and Leslie's children Carissa Oettinger (Eric Peterson) and Ryan Kimball; and Michelle (Bill) Worley and their children: Matthew, Xavier, Vincent, William, Agnes, Mary, Joseph, and Beatrice; brother, Ernest (special friend, Jane) Zebuhr; sisters, Marilyn Fisher, Claire (Sam) Rebman, and Wanda (Steve) Maddux; Sisters- and brothers-in-law; Nancy and Gary Turner, Greg and Micky Oettinger, David and Lisa Oettinger, Steven and Athina Oettinger, Jan Oettinger and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Brother-in-law Bill Fisher; Bob’s parents, Robert A. and Joyce Oettinger/Jones and Brother-in-law Mike Oettinger.
