 Raymond L. Wishneski, 91, Green Bay, passed away February 3, 2012.  He was born July 20, 1920 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to the Late Felix and Anna (Alfuth) Wishneski.  He was a resident of Green Bay since 1959.  He married Genevieve Bronk September 20, 1952 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  Ray served his country in the National Guard 32nd Division prior to Federalization into The Regular Army on October 15, 1940.  His tours of duty were served in Louisiana, Massachusetts, and California before leaving for Australia.  During World War II, He served in New Guinea with the 128 Infantry and The Artillery of the 32nd Division and in The South-west Pacific Area.  Returning to the United States in 1944, he was hospitalized at Brooke General Hospital, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.  Following his two hospitalization, he was assigned to Fort Sill, Oklahoma with duties in The Post Training Aids Detachment.  He later received Department of The Army orders with assignment to The Korean Military Advisory Group, G-3, Plans and Training of The Korean Army, Stationed at Tonga, Korea.  Returning from Korea to The United States, he was assigned a tour of duty with The ROTC Instructor Group.  Later, he served in The 18th Infantry Regiment of The First Division at Fort Riley, Kansas.  Continuing His Military Career, he was assigned to the 8th Division at Fort Carson, Colorado.  He proceeded with the 8th Division to Bremenhaver, Goeppingen, and Bad Krueznach Germany.  He was accompanied with his family during his tour of duty inGermany.  His duties in Germany were as  The Replacement Company Sargent for the entire division processing Replacements and their families.  He also served as Division Operations Sergeant for alerts and maneuvers.  In 1959, He was assigned by The Department of The Army to St. Norbert College ,De Pere, Wisconsin, with duties as Instructor of Military Science and Tactics for The ROTC Program.  Master Sergeant Wishneski finished his Military Career Retiring April 1, 1964.  He was highly decorated in both wars to include multiple Bronze Stars and the Distinguished Service Medal (ROK).  After retiring from Military Service, He was employed by the State Civil Service Corrections Department, retiring in September, 1985.  He was a member of St. Philip Parish; Wisconsin Law Enforcement Association; American Association of Retired Persons; and a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2037.  He enjoyed carpentry, and traveling. 

            Ray is survived by his six children Bill Peterson (partner Susan Berry), Sparks Nevada, Raymond D. (Francine) Wishneski, Green Bay, Patricia (John) Spielbauer,Green Bay, Lynette (Allen) Rymer,Green Bay, Jeff (Sonia) Wishneski, San Jose, Jodine (David) Svoboda, Freedom.  13 Grandchildren Sean (Terry) Peterson, Susan (ColKirk) Lear, Michael (Dr. Katie Carlson) Wishneski, Lisa (Dave) Koenig, Tina Spielbauer, Tracy (Robi) Minies, Jennifer Spielbauer, Nicole (David) Lemense, Brad (Jenny) Rymer, Jillian (Scott) Feldhausen, Kristen (Mark) Remington, Samantha Svoboda, Emily Svoboda.  16 Great Grandchildren Lauren Peterson, Tyler Peterson, Trevor Lear, Regon Lear, Reese Koenig, Kennedy Koenig, Lashonda Zellner, Alex Minies, Christian Minies, Ryan Spielbauer, Jonah Spielbauer, Austan Spielbauer, Ian Speilbauer, Lyla May Feldhausen, Brayden Feldhausen, Becket Remington.  Great-Great Grandson Ethan Spielbauer. 

            He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve (Janet) Wishneski; His parents; Felix and Anna Wishneski; One sister and brother-in-law; Gloria and Donald Lind.  One brother and sister-in-law; John and Elaine Wishneski. 

            Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home 1630 E. Mason St. Tuesday from 11:00 am until the funeral cortege leaves for church.  Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 pm at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church 312   Victoria St.with the Rev. David Pleier officiating.  Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial fund is being established.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com
