Beatrice M. Van Pay, 93,Green Bay resident, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at Carrington Manor.  She was born March 27, 1918 in Tonet, WI to the late Thomas and Agnes (Du Bois) Denis.  Beatrice married Robert Van Pay on Nov. 18, 1936 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Humboldt.  He preceded her in death March 23, 2003.  Beatrice and Bob owned and operated a dairy farm in Humboldt until 1979.  She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Community.  Beatrice was devoted to her faith all of her life and raised her family to have that same devotion to God.  Raising a family was a full time job for Beatrice.  She became very efficient at sewing, gardening and baking bread.  Beatrice also enjoyed fishing, reading, embroidery and quilting.  She always had time for a game of cards with family and friends.  Beatrice enjoyed nature and being outside.  There were many days she could be found enjoying the day while sitting on her swing.

She is survived by six sons and daughters-in-law, Cyril (Janet), Jim (Janet) Le Roy (Bonnie), Jerry (Dorothy), Ken (Joanne), John (Judy); two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda (John) Soquet and Karen (Carl) Matz; 27 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; one brother, Elmer (Dee) Denis; two sisters, Marcelle (Robert) Estel and Donna Mae Hermans; one sister-in-law, Myrtle Van Gothem; two brothers-in-law, Clarence Van Pay and Bernie (Audrey) Van Pay; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her spouse and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Richard; one granddaughter, Amy Van Pay; two brothers, Alvin and Donald Denis; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Arleen (Harvey) Miller,Florence(George) Balza, Grace Denis, Dorothy Denis, Audrey Denis and Larry Hermans

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.  Parish Wake Service, 7:30pm.  Visitation will continue on Thursday after 9:30 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Road until the time of Mass.  Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Ron Belitz officiating.  Entombment at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.  Online condolences may be sent to the Van Pay family at www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in Beatrice’s name.

Beatrice’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Carrington Manor and the nurses and staff at Unity Hospice.  A special thank you to Fr. Ron Belitz for his visits and prayers.
