Dorothy J. Krause, 92, Green Bay resident, died peacefully Sunday morning, January 15, 2012. She was born on June 1, 1919 to the late John and Blanche (KoHout) Shuber. Dorothy attended beauty school and obtained her beauticians license after high school. She then went to work for F.W. Woolworth and Kresges in Green Bay. Dorothy worked for the United States Post Office in Green Bay until her retirement. She loved to travel and has visited many destinations throughout the world. Dorothy was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and attended Super Bowl II. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Cheri) Krause, Green Bay; daughter, Carol Krause, Green Bay; grandson, Brett Krause, Davenport, IA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Bob and Leroy; sister, Rosanne; and her former husband, Raymond Krause.
Visitation will be held at the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum, 2121 Riverside Dr., on Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. with entombment to follow. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.
Dorothy’s family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Angels on Arcadia (formerly Angels Touch) and Heartland Hospice for all of their care and concern.
