Roger G. (Brice) Miller, 63, Green Bay resident, died peacefully on January 13, 2012 at a local hospital. He was born on Oct. 2, 1948 in Montello, WI to the late Garfield and Marjorie (Vincent) Brice. In 1967, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War, earning a Purple Heart and Presidential Unit Citation for his service. Roger worked at Packerland Packaging as a meat cutter for several years and later owned his own body shop, working as a mechanic. He enjoyed scraping metal and was an avid country music lover. Roger was a member of the P.L.A.V. Post 177, serving as their public relations officer. On February 22, 2002, he married the former Cynthia Barth in Green Bay. Roger will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; children, Roger (Evelyn) Brice, Jr.; Kimmy (special friend, Don Counard) Bottle; Kelly Jo (special friend, Billy Alonso) Brice; grandchildren, Cody, Dakota, Kayla Jo, Wesley and Devan; step-daughter, Wendy (special friend, Pat Berglin) Wahl and her son, Cody Wahl; 14 brothers and sisters, Tom (Linda Reiter), Gary (Mary Plopper), Shirley Berthiaume, Richard (Darlene Pleau), Diane (J.R. Statz), Steve (Villina Delveaux), Michael (issabelle Trimble), Margaret (Tom Dorn), Joseph (Paula Johns), Wayne (Lisa Boyea) June Tallman, Jane (Todd Massey) Dykes Jeffrey (Angie Georgel), Lori (Brian Moore); 37 nieces and nephews; half-sisters, Dorothy Lichtenwald and Jackie Crooks; half-brother, Robert Reiter; brothers-in-law, Randal Barth, Edward (Sandy) Barth, Dale (Toni) Barth, all of Green Bay; and James (Kay) Barth, Thurmont, MD; sisters-in-law, Daryl Fay (John) Gillaume, Susan Vandenbush, and Julie (Harry) Pieschek, all of Green Bay.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Roy and Carol Barth; half-sister, Betty Van Pay; brother-in-law, Jerry Berthiaume.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday after 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home until the time of service. Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Ralph Merkatoris officiating. Full Military Honors to follow. Entombment at the Nicolet Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.
