Irene Tarkowski, 82, Green Bay resident, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012. She was born in Wisconsin Rapids on Sept. 5, 1929 to the late John and Mabel Hasseler. The former Irene Hasseler had lived most of her life in DePere and Green Bay. She and her husband, Clifford were married June 24, 1950. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Parish and the St. Elizabeth Altar Society. She was also a member of the Letter Carriers Branch 619 Auxiliary 413. Irene enjoyed going fishing, bowling and playing cards.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford; two sons, Jeff Tarkowski, Green Bay; and Jamie Tarkowski, Omaha, NE; two daughters, Linda Tarkowski, Pharm D Dallas, TX; Peggy Tarkowski, Green Bay; one grandson, Tony Tarkowski; and daughters-in-law, Therese Tarkowski, Kim Tarkowski, and Carol Tarkowski. She is also survived by one brother, Gene Hasseler, Cato; one sister, Gloria Henn,Oneida; brothers-in-law, John Tarkowski, DePere; Mitch Tarkowski,Denmark; sister-in-law, Arlene Hasseler, DePere; many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday, January 13, 2012 at St. Mary of the Angels,645 S. Irwin Ave.from 9 to 11 a.m. Funeral Mass 11a.m. with Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, OFM officiating. Inurnment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
