Thaddaeus S. “Thad” Zakrzewski, 90, of Green Bay, died January 1, 2012. He was born in Poland in 1921. Thad worked first in Poland and later in Germany as a Custom Agent in an International Transportation Company. He immigrated with his wife Edith and daughter Barbara to the United States and arrived January 31, 1957 in Green Bay, sponsored by Grace Presbyterian Church. Thad worked various jobs in Paper and Converting and later for the Beaumont-Prevea Clinic until his retirement at age 83. He was an excellent tennis player in and outdoor receiving several trophies. Thad also participated faithfully for 28 years in the Bellin Run.
Survivors include his daughter Barbara Zakrzewski-McRae; Edith Zakrzewski; a sister and sister-in-law inPoland; a niece in Australia; He will also be missed by his loving friends Esther Carson and Becky Fisher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother, in Poland.
