Sally Ann (Le Capitaine) Schaetz died 12\27\11, she was 59 years old. Sally was the wife of David Charles Schaetz and the daughter of John and Loretta (Laddie) Le Capitaine, who preceded her in death.
Sally battled cancer for 8 years, but through it all she remained cheerful and always had a smile on her face, ensuring the comfort of those around her.
Sally attended Saints Peter &PaulGrade Schoolwhere she met her husband Dave. She next enrolled atSt. Joseph’s Academy where she and Dave began dating; they would ultimately be married for 37 years. Dave and Sally belong to St. Nicolas Catholic Church in Freedom,Wisconsin. Sally worked as a teller at Associated Bank for 33 years. She loved her job, interacting with co-workers and customers, many of whom became her close friends. Her favorite hobby was riding her horse. She rode her current horse, Malodor, as much as she could. Sally also enjoyed gardening; she absolutely loved flowers. She and her husband, Dave, had a beautiful vegetable garden, where they grew every vegetable under the sun, one of their favorites being pumpkins. Sally also adored the water; she swam, boated, skied, snorkeled and even fished. When she was at the lake in the summer it was always only a matter of time before she had her swimsuit on. Sally also loved her little Schnauzer, Salty. Salty was an extremely loyal pet and a wonderful companion.
The true pride and joy of Sally’s life though were her kids. When they were young she attended each and every soccer, football and basketball game. She also taught them how to drive a manual transmission car. She remained ever-present in their lives as they grew up, teaching them all she could. Over the past 30 years the entire family vacationed in northernWisconsinevery summer for a week with friends from southernWisconsinand a great time was had by all. Sally also enjoyed playing with her granddaughters Evie (4 years old) andSofia(5 month old); she lit up when they were around. Sally was a very special person, liked by everyone she knew; she will forever hold a special place in the hearts of many.
