Beloved wife and aunt, Rita E. Hunt, 87, Green Bay resident died Saturday, September 19, 2009 at an area care facility. Rita was born March 22, 1922 in West DePere, the daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine (Cavil) Latus. She married Leo Hunt on January 3, 1946 in Chicago. Rita always was the babysitter, taking wonderful care of her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed playing cards and cutting out and collecting coupons. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Leo Hunt, one sister Claudia Vandenveld, Green Bay and one brother Walter (Audrey) Latus, Green Bay, her special caregivers; Judy Desotelle, Oconto Falls, Sharon Gerarden, Green Bay, Terri (Gerarden) Vandenack, DePere, and other relatives. Besides her parents, Rita was preceded in death by one brother Daniel Latus, two sisters LaVern Nielsen and Ruby Walinski. Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 5 – 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at St. Joseph Catholic Church, corner of 9th St. and 12th Ave. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev Timothy Brandt officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
