Agnes D. (Schuman) Splitgerber, 97, Green Bay, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 with family by her side. She was born on February 27, 1912 in Shawano County to the late Olaf and Ella Schuman. She attended grade school in Krakow and high school in Pulaski. Agnes married Charles H. Splitgerber - they moved to Green Bay and he preceded her in death in 1985. They joined Our Saviour Lutheran Church in 1947 and she was an active member with the Woman’s Guild and faithfully attended Tuesday bible class. She also liked working as day manager at Bethesda Lutheran Thrift Shop for 15 years and over 26 years for Dynamic Maturity with the Curative Workshop. Agnes loved family celebrations; her children and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, berry picking, reading, writing poetry and watching the Packers. She is survived by three daughters, Yvonne (James) Zimonick, Janice (Gary) Oswald, all of Green Bay, Karen (Jack) Grant, Hartford, WI; three sons, Roland “Bud” (Ruth) Splitgerber, Dennis (Judy) Splitgerber, all of Green Bay, James (Yvonne) Splitgerber, Silver Cliff, WI; eight grandchildren, Kyle (Lisa) Zimonick, Kim Zimonick (Tim) Couillard, Douglas (Sharon) Oswald, Karla Oswald, Lisa Splitgerber (Bob) Enderby, Dennis (Jackie) Splitgerber, Todd (Stephanie) Splitgerber, Denice Splitgerber and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two precious grandchildren, Laurie and Brian Splitgerber; two sisters, Irene Kluball-Miracle and Florence Kuske; one brother, Leonard Schuman and numerous brothers and sisters in-laws. Friends may call at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 120 S. Henry St. after 9:00 am Saturday until the time of service. Funeral service at 11:00 am Saturday at the church with Rev. David Hatch officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. On-line condolences may be sent to the Splitgerber family at www.prokowall.com.
