Alvin J. Roznowski, 81, Green Bay resident, died Monday, August 24, 2009. He was born Jan. 21, 1928 in the town of Eaton to the late Ben and Pauline Roznowski. On July 2, 1960 Alvin married Carla Froelich. Alvin served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Schneider Transport for 35 years before his retirement. He later worked for UWGB and Lamers Bus Lines. Alvin was a member of the Green Bay Yacht Club. He was also a member of Peace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Carla; his children and their families: Steven Schaufuss and his children, Colin and Kristen, Elk Grove Village, IL; Tim Schaufuss, Rebecca, (Alvin’s great-grandson,Bradley), and Jeremy, Two Rivers; Victoria (Harold) Kueker and children, Tim and Brett, Carol Stream, IL; Brian and Michelle Roznowski, Green Bay; Paul and children, Blaine, Jacob, Bailey and Morgan, Monroe, MI. He is also survived by one sister, Delores Pierquet, Green Bay; one brother, Roger (Shari), Green Bay; sisters-in-law: Donna Brunner, Carolyn (Joe) Pelishek, Joelle Froelich, Karen Valentine, and Donna King; many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, daughter-in-law, Diana Schaufuss, brothers-in-law, Murray Froelich, Melvin Brunner and Tony Pierquet; and one nephew, Matthew Boettcher.
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at Peace United Methodist Church. Funeral 11 a.m. with Rev. Russ May officiating. Entombment at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family.
