Roy H. Paulson, 72, Green Bay, passed away on August 14, 2009. Roy was born on January 16, 1937 in Ashwaubenon to Harold and Helen (Nelson) Paulson. He was a graduate of West De Pere High School. Roy served his country as a member of the National Guard. He was employed at Alwin Manufacturing as a welder until his retirement. After retiring from Alwin, he worked at Oneida Casino and enjoyed his work there. Roy was a quiet man. He enjoyed time with his wife Evelyn and his family. He also was an avid reader.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; sister, Karen (Darvin) Zuleger, Seymour; nephew, Vaughn (Corinne) Zuleger, Freedom; Nieces, Cindy (Todd) Talbot, Appleton, Linda (Kevin) Peeters, Pulaski; foster brothers, Kenneth (Marilyn) Springstube, Deltona, FL, Wilbur (Dolores) Springstube, De Pere; step-daughter, Bonnie (special friend, Donald) Zettle; step-granddaughters, Amy, Samantha and Jill daughter-in-law, Laurie (special friend, Harry) Pagenkopf; close friends, Bob and Pat Williquette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and step-son, Paul Pagenkopf.
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Monday, August 17, 2009, from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church after 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service. Funeral service Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 312 S. Madison St. with Rev. Larry Lange officiating. Burial at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Ashwaubenon.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Roy’s family would like to thank VNA Hospice and the staff at Santa Maria Nursing Home for all of their care and consideration.
