Anita E. Wisneski, 89, Green Bay resident, died Monday, August 9, 2010 at a local hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1920 in Manawa to the late Albert and Augusta (Schmidt) Seelig. Anita graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1938. She married Clarence Wisneski on Feb. 22, 1941 in Manawa, WI. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1981. Anita and Clarence moved to Mountain, WI in 1978 and lived there until 1986 when she moved back to Green Bay. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Bellevue VFW Post #9677. Anita was a former member and charter member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Green Bay, a former member of Tabor Lutheran Church in Mountain and currently a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Anita shared her time and talents with the local hospitals in the form of knitting. She knitted many, many baby caps and blankets to welcome newborn children into the world. She is survived by seven children: Judy (Richard) Doughty, New London; Marilyn (Gerald) Treichel, Freedom; Alan “Butch” (Barbara), Belen, New Mexico; Carole Rikard, Trinity, AL; Michael (Diane), Lomira, WI; James (Patti), Mountain, WI; Steve (Connie), Howard; 19 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Wroblewski, New London; four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Hildegarde Patri and two brothers-in-law, Victor Wroblewski and Arthur Patri; one son-in-law, Hubert Rikard. Friends may call at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Dr. after 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of service. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Scott Malme officiating. Burial in the Mountain Cemetery. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the Wisneski family at www.prokowall.com. Anita’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Bachhuber, the nurses and staff at Bornemann Nursing Home and everyone at Aurora Dialysis Clinic.
