James B. “Jim” Lardinois, 81, Green Bay resident, died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at his home, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 24, 1928 in Brussels to the late Benjamin and Lena (Delfosse) Lardinois. Jim married the former Rita Dequaine on July 31, 1946 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dyckesville. He was employed at Schreiber Cheese for 36 years until his retirement in 1992. Following retirement Jim turned his hobby into a part time business, Jim’s Saw Filing Service. He ran the business until his health wouldn’t allow. Because of his business he was able to make many new friends and enjoyed the camaraderie it created. Jim is survived by his wife, Rita; two daughters, Annette Gay and Debbie Lardinois; one son, Greg Lardinois, all of Green Bay; four grandchildren: Kim (Tom) Piontek, Green Bay; Corey Gay, Oshkosh; Ryan Lardinois, Green Bay; Jordan Lardinois, Green Bay; two great-grandsons, Jonathan (Nicole) Piontek and Christopher Piontek; one great-great-grandson, Brayden, all of Green Bay; numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille Wery, Darlene and Vincent Kinnard, and Maxine and John Stegmann; and sisters-in-law, La Verne Lardinois, Florence Dequaine, and Cecelia “Ceil” Dart. He was preceded in death by his son, James L. Lardinois, Grandson, Shane Malliet, son-in-law, Wayne J. Gay; his parents Benjamin and Lena; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jule and Lucy Dequaine; two brothers, Bernard Lardinois and Milton Lardinois; one sister, Ethel Bosdeck; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Emil Bosdeck, Donald Wery, Joseph and Elsie Dequaine, Raymond Dequaine, Jules and Marie Dequaine, Clifford Dart; sisters-in-law, Louise and Anthony Collin and Marie and George Boucher. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. after 4 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Funeral Service 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
