Ronald C. Piontek, 63, Green Bay passed away on July 22, 2010 after a short battle with cancer. Ron was born on August 25, 1946 in Green Bay to Chet and Barbara (Mikesh) Piontek. He was a graduate of Green Bay East High School, class of 1964. He served his country as a member of the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He served two tours there. On August 18, 2008 he married the former Lynn Lambert in Las Vegas. He was a former employee of Lindquist Machine and Bay Industrial as a machinist and later was employed with the US Postal Service until his retirement in 2008. He currently worked part time at Gandrud Chev in Green Bay. He was a member of St Bernard Catholic Church in Green Bay. He enjoyed Playing Golf and Bowling. He was an avid fan of the Packers and Brewers. He also loved NASCAR.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Lynn, his children Kelly (Mike) Weisenberger, and her children Arie, Cameron, Tawni, Bryce and Kaida, Arizona, Tammy (Dan) Holmes, and her children Dakota, Jordan and Ethan, De Pere, MaryLynn Lambert, Michael O’Connell and Patrick O’Connell of Green Bay, his mother Barbara Yotsnukis, Green Bay, 1 brother Michael (Diane) Piontek, and their children Jodi and Cari, Milwaukee mother-in-law and father-in-law Arvin and Jan Lambert, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Don (Karen) Lambert, Sandy (Jerome) Krines, Karen (Ramiro) Martinez and Diane (Jerry) Vincent all Green Bay, Patty (Mark) Winske, Omro, Kelly and Tammy’s mother Sharon Piontek and his very close friends, the Smet family as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Chet, step father Tony Yotsnukis, a cousin, who was like a brother Danny Piontek, his maternal grandparents, whom he was very close to, Joe and Iva Mikesh and his paternal grandparents Frank and Helen Piontek, Sharon Piontek’s parents, Ed and Lorraine Stankevitz.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 East Mason Street, on Monday from 4-8 pm. Parish Prayer Service at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9-10:30 am at church. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, Green Bay at 10:30 am Tuesday with the Rev. David Pleier officiating. Interment at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center and Aurora BayCare Medical Center.
