Norbert "Norb" J. Gerlikowski, 92, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2008. He was born in the town of Bellevue on Oct. 5, 1915 to the late Antone and Helen (Danielski) Gerlikovsky. Norbert married the former Delphine "Del" Blajeski on June 24, 1939 at Holy Trinity Church in Pine Grove. He served in the United States Army in the Pacific during World War II. Norb was a papermaker and president of the Papermakers Union Local 327 and was employed by Northern Paper Mill, American Can, and James River until his retirement in 1978. Norb enjoyed spending time at their trailer in Goodman, was an avid hunter, and was a member of the Shrine of Saint Hubert (Patron saint of hunters) located in the woods north of Goodman. Norbert was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Winiecki Post #9677 in Bellevue. He loved making booyah and was very proud of his garden. He played the accordion for his own enjoyment.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law: Marilynn (Jerry) Jauquet, Jeanne Miller and Dawn (Randy) Krull; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard (Linda) Gerlikowski; eleven grandchildren, Jamie (Jeremy) Mizorek, Anthony (Gina) Jauquet, Brooke (Matt) Holbrook, Jodi (Dave) Larson, Kasie Gerlikowski and fiancé Collin Holloway, Brandon (Carrie) Gerlikowski, Courtney Gerlikowski, Blake Gerlikowski and special friend Katie Wilber, Nicole Krull (Marc Collins), Tracey (David) Reichwald, and Travis Krull; fifteen great-grandchildren, Monique, Brandon, Corbin, and Jonah Mizorek; Devan (Jauquet) Doherty, Ethan and Isabella Jauquet, Jessica, Josh, Hunter, and Stella Holbrook; Marin Larson, Hailey Rae Gerlikowski, Isabella Krull-Collins, Mason Reichwald; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Watermolen and Eleanore (Merle) Watermolen; sister-in-law, Jean Kimps; many nieces and nephews.

His wife Delphine preceded him in death on July 31, 1992. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Walter, Harold, Alice, and Edwin. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Monica Gerlikovsky, Norman Watermolen, Ronnie Kohler, Alex (Aurelia) Karcz, Donald (Margaret) Van Pay, Ruth Blajeski, Cyril Blajeski, Leland (Florence) Blajeski, Carl Kimps, and Ione Schneider; two nieces and a nephew, Joyce Tremel, Darlene Vandertie, and Darrel Van Pay.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. V.F.W. Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Parish Wake Service. Visitation will continue on Friday at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 312 Victoria Street from 9:30 to10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. at the church with Rev. Dave Pleier officiating. Entombment in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Online condolences may be sent to the Gerlikowski family at www.prokowall.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
The family would like to thank the staff of both Bornemann Nursing Home and Brown County Nursing Home for their special care and deep concern for their father.
