Phyllis Delfosse Keegan, 82, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 3, 2010.
Phyllis was born in Krakow, Wisconsin May 5, 1928 to George and Anna Bajorek. Phyllis married Byron Delfosse in 1953 . Byron passed away suddenly on May 12, 1962.
Phyllis married John (Jack) Keegan on January 16, 1967. Jack was a member of the United States Air Force. As a military family Phyllis and her children relocated to many different states to include Hawaii, California and Nebraska until Jack’s retirement from the Air Force when they returned to Green Bay. Jack died September 29, 1976.
During her years in Green Bay Phyllis was fortunate to make many long time friends, those in her bowling team and golf league and the many she served while bartending at the Northland Hotel, Pladium Bowling Lanes, 1001 Club, Fran and Al’s and the Bay Bowl.
Phyllis worked at Eddie’s Fashions and Merrill Sportswear until her retirement.
Phyllis always looked forward to seeing her many friends during her weekly appointments at her favorite Beauty Shop.
Phyllis is survived by children Dennis (Lea) Delfosse, Oak Park, Ill., Doug (Kathy) Delfosse, Green Bay and LuAnn Delfosse (Ron Colbo) DePere. Phyllis had 7 grandchildren , Dennis (DJ), Chris (Kelli) Cory, Stacy and Keagan Delfosse and Jamie (Adam) McVey and Charlie Delfosse and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Bernice McDermid, Alvina Charniak and Helen Farren and many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents George and Anna, Byron Delfosse, Jack Keegan, sisters Josie Robaidek, Sophie Wagner, Marie Jagodzinski and Rita Rybicki and brothers Bruno, Stanley, August, Joe and Frank (Fritz) Bajorek and brother and sister-in-law Don and Laverne (Cookie) Keegan.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Wednesday after 3 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial service Wednesday 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Jim Gauthier officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.
