Felix A. Mancheski, 90, Denmark, died peacefully at a local nursing home Wednesday morning, July 2, 2008. He was born January 26, 1918 in Pine Grove, WI, son of the late Andrew and Josephine (Rosmarynoski) Mancheski.

Felix married the former Esther Pieschek at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in the Town of Eaton. His wife preceded him in death May 9, 2006. They had been married 58 years.

Felix farmed his entire life. He also had been employed at Dufecks Manufacturing and Mirro Aluminum. Felix prayed the Rosary daily and enjoyed gardening and reminiscing about his early days in a large family. Felix was proud of his Polish heritage and passed it on to his children and grandchildren.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald (Alice) and Sherman (Shirley), with whom he resided; Grandchildren, Paul (fiancée-Judy Lawrence), Aaron (Tracey), Andy (Sara), Mark (Michelle), Sarah (fiancé-Mike Meyer), Jennifer, Jeff (special friend-Sara Schuette), Robert (special friend-Jennifer Christensen); four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Alexander, Madison and Marisa. He is also survived by two sisters, Rosalie Herriges and Irene Ronsman; a brother, Aloyise Mancheski; in-laws, Mildred Pieschek, Frances Kudick, Alex (Rita) Pieschek and Betty Ann Pieschek; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Norman; his brothers and sisters, Martin, Henry, Mary, Johanna, Nostic, Ben, Regina, Eva, Genevieve, Joe, John (his twin) and their spouses and members of his wife´s family.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4 to 8 PM Sunday and after 9:30 AM Monday at St. James Catholic Church in Cooperstown until time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Monday at the church with Rev. Ron Colombo officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to Felix´s family at www.prokowall.com.
