Alice M. Routhieaux, 94, Appleton, formerly of Green Bay, passed away June 28, 2008. She was born on Jan. 25, 1914 in Door County to the late Joseph and Juslain (Daoust) Lu Maye. On June 26, 1934 Alice married Wille Routhieaux at St. Peter Church in the town of Lincoln. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2000. Alice was employed by Amity Leather Company, H.L. Green Variety Store, and for many years at Zuider Zee Supper Club. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing, knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include two sons: Darrel (Vivian) Routhieaux, Anderson, SC; Ronald (Ann) Routhieaux, Neenah; 13 grandchildren: Alan, Edwin, Angie, Ed, Chuck, Vicki, Rick, Mary, Debbie, Diana, Kathy, Lynn and Ronald Jr.; 37 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Vernil Balza, Green Bay; one sister-in-law Mathilda Tebon, Neenah; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jule Tebon; one sister and brother-in-law Virginia (Harold) Polecheck; two brothers-in-law Edward Balza and Fred Routhieaux; two sisters-in-law Laura Le Fevre and Lucy Junio.
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Service 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Bay Settlement. Online condolences may be sent to the Routhieaux family at www.prokowall.com.
