Vivian Rose De Jardin, 85, Green Bay resident, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2008. She was born Dec. 7, 1922 in the Town of Gardner to the late Frank and Ida (Gillis) Destree. On May 22, 1944 Vivian married George De Jardin at St. Francis Church in Brussels. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1984. Faith and the care of her family were top priorities for Vivian. She was a loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed doing embroidery and birdwatching; and her passion was baking.

Survivors include her six children: Barb DeBauche, Green Bay; Sheila R. Kohls, Balsam Lake, WI; Dennis (Cherie) De Jardin, Little Suamico; Kenneth (Barbara) De Jardin, Green Bay; Warren (Terri) De Jardin, Green Bay; Marilyn (Mark) Brienen, Green Bay; 13 grandchildren: Holly (Mark) Deslauriers; Jason De Jardin; Erin (Wade) Briner; Blair (Franni) De Bauche; Jill De Jardin; Daniel De Jardin; Jennifer (Scott) Womack; Andrew Brienen; Misty (Bill) Campbell; Cory McAlister; Danielle De Jardin; Kayla De Jardin; Jacob De Jardin; 13 great-grandchildren: Brenden, Colin, Ian, Mason, J.T., Emma, Evan, Isabel, Madelyn, Aunica, Sophia, Olivia, Fiona. She is also survived by one sister, Gladys Jenquin, Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Betty Destree, Sturgeon Bay; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband George and her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by four brothers, Gordon, Alvin, Vernon, and Merton.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Monday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish Wake Service 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at St. Mary of the Angels Church, 645 S. Irwin Ave., from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Tom Wojciechowski, O.F.M. officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
