William J. Roberts Jr., 78, Green Bay resident, died unexpectedly Friday June 25, 2010 at his home. He was born October 26, 1931 in Green Bay to the late William and Henrietta (McCarthy) Roberts Sr. Bill graduated from East High School and served in the U.S. Naval Reserves following graduation. He married the former Susan Borchers on September 8, 1956 at Grace Lutheran Church. Bill was employed by Wisconsin Public Service Corporation for 32 years retiring in December of 1991. In his retirement Bill enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and meeting his buddies for coffee at McDonalds. Bill's witty sense of humor will be greatly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Susan and their four children: Robin (Tim) Wahlers, Denver, CO; Jay (Lori) Roberts, Clarks Summit, PA; Tom (Dawn) Roberts, Green Bay and Holly (Dan) Bittner, Oshkosh. Twelve grandchildren: Jason (Jennifer) Wahlers, Ryne (Jennifer) Wahlers and Ian Wahlers; Adam, Jacob and Kaitlyn Roberts; David and Alex Roberts; Brett, Maddie, Mollie and Max Bittner. He was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Betty (Chuck) Konop. Per Bill's request, private family services were held at Proko-Wall Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Speckhard officiating.
