Raymond B. Piontek, 78, Bellevue resident, died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Angels Touch in De Pere, following a brief bout with cancer. He was born August 5, 1931, on his grandparents’ farm in Poland, WI to the late Peter and Anna (Ostrenga) Piontek. Ray married the former Carol Maurer on September 9, 1967 at All Saints Catholic Church in Denmark. He was employed by H.C. Samuels Processing (Betten Processing) for 43 years until his retirement in 1990. In his earlier years, he enjoyed bowling and during retirement, he and Carol travelled the world. Ray never turned down a night out to eat or a trip to the casino. Ray was a lifetime member of St. Mary of the Angels Parish.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, one sister, Marlene (Darold) Danielski, Bellevue, two brothers, Victor Piontek and special friend Karen, Allouez and Ronald (Rose) Piontek, Denmark, one sister-in-law Mary (Rodney) Steffek, Denmark; nieces and nephews, Marlene & Darold’s children, Kim (Goddaughter), Paul, Amy and Eric; Vic & June’s children, Karen (Goddaughter), Vicki, Steve and Tom; Ron & Rose’s children,Paula, Malina (Goddaughter), Rosanne and Ronald (Pete); Mary & Rod’s children; James, Steven, Thomas, John and Robert; many “great” great nieces and nephews; his Aunt Regina Goral, Eaton and Uncle Felix Ostrenga, Ledgeview.
Ray was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, June Piontek and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tony and Betty Maurer.
Friends may call at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church after 9:00 am, Monday until time of mass. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, Monday at the church with Fr.
