Avis Giese, 83, Green Bay passed away on March 11, 2010 at Bornemann Nursing Home. Avis was born on October 11, 1926 in Escanaba MI to the late Edward and Alma Bowden. She was a graduate of West High School in Green Bay. She was married to Wallace L. Giese and they enjoyed over 50 years together. She will be sadly missed by her husband Wallace, children Barbara “Bobbie” (Robert) Virtue, Barbara Phelps-Burke, Janis A. (Bruce) Horsman, all of California, David (Cindy) LeQua, Green Bay, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother Edward Bowden, Green Bay as well as several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 East Mason Street, Green Bay on Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Steve Fewell officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Green Bay.
