Robert "Bob" Cravillion

Robert N. "Bob" Cravillion, 79, passed away on March 11, 2008 unexpectedly at a local hospital. Bob was born on November 17, 1928 in New Franken to the late Hank and Helen (Schauer) Cravillion. He attended Central Catholic High School in Green Bay. On September 2, 1950, he married the former Darlene Van Ess at St. Joseph Church in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on February 18, 2007. He served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the U.S. Army. Bob believed in hard work. His first job was as an elevator operator at the Bellin Building. For most of his career, he worked as a home builder and owner of Cravillion Construction. He also worked part-time for Fox Valley Truck and retired from The Milwaukee Railroad. Bob loved to travel. His favorite trips were to the family cottage on Green Lake near Mountain during the summer and trips to Florida in the winter. He was also an avid Packers fan and enjoyed playing cards and visiting family and friends. He is survived by three daughters and one son; Sue (Bob) LeCapitaine, Mary (Dave) Umentum, Tobe (Sue) Cravillion, Becky (Tom) Klish; nine grandchildren; Shane (Jaime) LeCapitaine, Kris LeCapitaine, Matthew (Melissa) Umentum, Melissa (Jesse Bain)Umentum, Sarah (John Mancoske) Cravillion, Luke Cravillion, Chad (Erin) Klish, Craig (Maryjo Nelson) Klish, Curt (Sarah) Klish, seven great-grandchildren; Kaden, Carson and Talan LeCapitaine, Acacia Bain, Izabella Umentum, Conner and Cora Klish, six brothers and sisters; Darrell (Betty) Cravillion, Jim Cravillion, Bonnie Blaney, Sr. Ann Cravillion, Tom (Sue) Cravillion, one brother-in-law; Art (Nina) Van Ess. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darlene, his parents and parents-in-law, two brothers and one sister-in-law. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home and Crematory, 1630 E. Mason St., on Friday from 4-8 p.m.. There will be no visitation Saturday morning. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Harry Hafeman officiating.
