Geraldine “Geri” M. Hermans, 84, Allouez, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Geri was born on April 30, 1925 to the late Frank and Martha (Satalla) Kosciuk in Green Bay. On May 29, 1949 Geri married Francis “Frank” Hermans at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2009. To his dying day, Geri remained the love of his life and his faithful caregiver. Along with Frank, her love of faith, especially her dedication to the devotion of the Rosary, and her tireless love of family were hallmarks of her life. Geri always looked forward to every opportunity to celebrate with her family and enjoy their company at Hemlock Lake. Each phone call from a child or grandchild brought a ray of sunshine to her life. Geri beamed with gratitude and graciousness for every kindness extended to her by family, friends and medical staff. Sewing, ceramics, baking and cooking were special hobbies of Geri. Survivors include her four children: Dennis (Pamela) Hermans, Green Bay, Mark Hermans, New Franken, Greg (Karol) Hermans, Midland, MI and Mary (Kurt) Aldrich, Fort Worth, TX; one daughter-in-law Rosann Hermans, Auburn Hills, MI; ten grandchildren; Craig (Juanita), Chad (Kelly) and Keith (Lindsay) Hermans; Christopher (fiancé Tara Johanek) and Jonathan (special friend, Megan Gilfillan) Hermans; Karley, Kacy (fiancé Will Crawford) and Alexsandra Hermans; Abby and Garrett Aldrich, two great-grandchildren Skylar Joy and Brianna Rose Hermans; her brother, Francis Kosciuk, Oklahoma City, OK. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen and daughter, Peggy Hermans; her sister, Virginia (Bernard) Jankowski; her brother, Norbert Kosciuk; and her sister-in-law, Geri Lou Kosciuk. Friends may call on Saturday at St. Mary of the Angels Church, corner of Cass and Irwin from 9 to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. with Rev. Tom Wojciechowski, OFM officiating.
