Richard “Dick” A. Hackl, 66, Green Bay resident, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, March 7, 2010. He was born in Green Bay on December 22,1943 to the late Robert J. and Cora (Lemke) Hackl. Dick graduated from Pulaski High School in 1962. He served in the Marine Corps Reserve and was a member of the American Legion Landt Thiel Post #470 in Saukville. He held the rank of Commander from 1978-1980. He worked for Otis Elevator for 37 years. Dick enjoyed traveling, going to the trailer up North and auctions.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Lois (Andre) Hackl; two sons, Darrel (Katie) Hackl, Oostburg; Capt. Douglas (Erin) Hackl, Jacksonville, NC; two step sons, Eugene Fristad and girlfriend, Amanda; Andrew Fristad; four grandchildren and two step grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Betty Dettman, Seymour; one brother, Robert Hackl, Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Sandra Kanouse, Hersey, MI; one brother-in-law Michael (Chris) Andre, Menominee, MI.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers-in-law: Isabel (Mike) Wojkiewicz, Evelyn (Jerome) Shemoncofsky, Roberta (Roger) McKenna, infant sister, Mary, brother-in-law Ralph Kanouse.
