Elroy J. “Budd” Dix, 95, Green Bay resident, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at an area care facility. He was born January 2, 1915 in Potters, WI to the late Oscar and Adela (Lopas)
Dix. He married Lorraine Loppnow. She preceded him in death on May 27, 1999, after fifty-eight years of marriage. Budd was an active member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Green Bay.


Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon (Jack) Wegner, Cedarburg, WI; his son and daughter-in-law Steven (Jean) Dix, Green Bay; four grandchildren, Laura (Jim) Fritz, Leah Wegner, Shaun (Jessica) Dix and Craig Dix; two great-grandsons, Lucas Fritz and Brett Fritz. He is also survived by one sister Elvira Magaurn, Green Bay; nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Wallace Dix.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 120 S. Henry Street. Funeral Service at 5 p.m. with Rev. David Hatch officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be sent to the Dix family at www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Budd’s name is being established.
