Carolyn A. Kiefert, 67, Green Bay resident, died Monday morning, February 22, 2010 at Santa Maria Nursing Home. She was born on December 2, 1942 in Green Bay to Gordon and June (Freriks) Lealou. Carolyn is a 1961 graduate of Green Bay East High School. On January 28, 1961, she married Russell Collins at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Green Bay; he preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1969. She then married Henry Kiefert on Dec. 5, 1970 in Green Bay at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Green Bay. Carolyn was a proud homemaker who enjoyed raising her children and watching her grandchildren grow up. She loved to go to the cottage up north or to take a Sunday drive. She loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. Carolyn was often heard singing Christmas carols all year round. Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, James “Jim” (Kerri) Collins and their daughters, Katie, Kelly and Molly; Gerald “Jerry” (Christine) Collins and their daughter, Yasmyn; Dan (Kari) Collins and their sons, Calvin and Clayton; mother, June Lealou; sisters, Linda (Stanley) Smith and Julie (Michael) Tilly; mother-in-law, Alice Collins; brother-in-law, Robert Collins; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon and her first husband, Russell. Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at Nativity Of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2230 S. Oneida St. after 10:30 a.m. on Friday until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 p.m. at the church with Rev. John Becker officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
