Brittany M. Cayemberg, 16, Bellevue, died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at her home, following a 13-year fight with cancer. She was born Oct. 3, 1993 in Green Bay to Randy and Michelle (Kozicki) Cayemberg. Brittany attended Wilder Elementary for kindergarten and first grade. She then attended McAuliffe grade school, Edison Middle School and currently was a sophomore at Preble High School. Brittany was active in Green Bay Lightning Soccer, student council and elementary, middle and high school orchestra. She was on the math team at Preble High School and was a student advisor for the “Sting Cancer” group. Brittany received the President’s Award for volunteering and maintained a 4.0 GPA. She and her family are members of St. Bernard Parish.

Brittany is survived by her parents Randy and Michelle, Bellevue; her sister Alison at home; her half brother, Anthony Cronick, Florence; maternal grandparents, Dale and Beverly Kozicki, Green Bay; paternal grandmother, Marge (Cayemberg) and paternal step-grandfather, Joe Konkel, Wind Lake, WI. She is also survived by aunts and uncles: her uncle and godfather, Chris and Jane Kozicki; Terry and her godmother, Janice Cayemberg; Renee and Bruce Fuller; cousins: Crystal Cayemberg, Adam Cayemberg, Andy Kozicki, Katie Kozicki, Kayla Fuller, Hayden Fuller (godson); and her faithful companion, her dog Lizzie.

She was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandfather, Wayne Cayemberg;. paternal great-grandparents John and Genevieve Rousseau and Pat and Laura Cayemberg, Sr.; maternal great-grandparents Louis and Mayme Kozicki; and Ed and Marcella (Toots) Newtols. paternal step-great-grandparents, Joe and Bernice Konkel, Sr

Friends may call at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. Parish Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday at St. Bernard’s from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. on Thursday with Rev. Dave Pleier officiating. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
