Elsie (Ellie) A. Flynn, Green Bay passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010. Ellie was born on August 28, 1940 to the late Charles and Dorothy (Gloe) Phelps. She graduated from West High School in 1958. Soon after, she attended and graduated from the Wisconsin Beauty College. On April 3, 1970, she married James Flynn. Together, they raised four children. Her joys in life were caring for all ages, sharing her profession as a beautician with her wide client base, and enjoying nature. Her love for animals is evident and she shared that appreciation with others. Additionally, she was an active volunteer for the Humane Society and Meals on Wheels. With her husband James Flynn, Ellie was the mother of four children, Kim Flynn, Gary Flynn (Kari), Carrie Flynn-Barlow (Robert), and Michelle Flynn-Reineke (Ben). She was also a proud grandparent to Corey Flynn, Riley Barlow, Julian Barlow, Aubrey Nichols, Kendra and Brendan Reineke. She is further survived by her loving siblings, Roger Phelps (Sandy), Brenda Kulibert (Gary), Roberta Brickham (Donald), and Cynthia Bardwell. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Vince Flynn and sister-in-law, Carol Snook (Richard), as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Ellie was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Wilbur Flynn, mother-in-law, Ione (Coates) Flynn, father, and sister-in-law, Mary P. Woody. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Saint Willebrord Catholic Church, 209 South Adams Street. Memorial Mass 10:30am at the church with the Rev. Kenneth DeGroot O.Praem. officiating.
